Mounjaro causes stomach pain, nausea, gas, and bloating just like Ozempic did. If Brain decides to keep taking it, I’m going to keep complaining. LOUDLY.
Yeah, maybe I do send pain signals more strongly to Brain than some other bodies. Highly Sensitive People can be more susceptible to pain signals.
Yes, Brain is probably an HSP. Add on the chronic pain of ME/CFS and my nerves have become superhighways for pain.
That AIP diet has some good ideas. When we ate cornbread recently, I had more stomach pain. Yes, giving up ALL grains won’t be easy, but maybe if the gut heals, we can have them in the future.
Stay out of the heat. Temperatures over 70 make me feel like socks that have lost their elastic and continually slump around the ankles.
Two naps are not too many. I know Brain is tired of resting, eager to write and read and interact with other people, but I need rest.
Sweets don’t make me feel better. They don’t give me more than a few minutes boost in energy. The jury’s still out on whether cutting them completely will contribute to my healing, but Brain, you really need to cut down.
Hot flashes despite HRT are the worst. Imagine a hot washcloth slapped onto your face that just keeps getting hotter. Imagine that heat showing red on the skin of your neck, face, chest, your whole body. Imagine getting a little bit overheated—sitting in a restaurant with the temperature set at 75, for example—and knowing that slight discomfort will lead to a hot flash.
When you curse me because my toes hurt and burn, my feet ache, and pain shoots down my arm from my shoulder, remember that you can still walk. You can still grasp and lift and carry. You can still type.
You try wading through oatmeal on a daily basis, pushing against the gelatinous air. I’m doing the best I can. Now finish this post and go lie down.

Sorry to hear you’re having side effects on the new drug! Not sure if this is relevant or something you’ve already tried, but I asked my doctor about trying low dose naltrexone for fibromyalgia after reading research on it and she said she felt comfortable prescribing it because she prescribes it to people at much higher doses for weight loss and it usually doesn’t cause them any side effects. But I really don’t know anything about it for weight loss beyond that comment she made.
